The Wetherspoon App: Order & Pay at Your Table
Please note: This is an independent guide. The official app is made by JD Wetherspoon.
The Wetherspoon app (called Order & Pay) lets you order food and drinks from your phone and have them brought to your table, instead of queueing at the bar. It also shows the menu and the live prices for the specific pub you are in — which matters, because Wetherspoon prices vary from pub to pub.

How to order with the app
- Download the app from the App Store or Google Play (links above) and open it.
- Choose your pub. Search by name or town, or let the app use your location. Check the pub name carefully — ordering to the wrong pub is the most common mistake.
- Enter your table number. The number is on your table; the kitchen and bar staff bring everything to that table.
- Build your order. Browse the menu for your pub, add food and drinks, and adjust the order before you confirm.
- Pay in the app by card or digital payment. You get confirmation in the app.
- Stay seated. Your order is brought to your table — drinks and food may arrive separately.
Can you see prices in the app?
Yes. The app shows the actual prices charged by the pub you have selected — not national prices. That makes it the most exact price source there is for your visit, and it is why this guide keeps pointing you back to it: our pages show typical or ‘from’ prices, while the app shows your pub's real ones.
Does the app work for breakfast and deals?
Yes. You can order breakfast in the app during breakfast hours (8am–12 noon at most pubs), and the deals your pub is running — such as Curry Club on Thursdays — appear in that pub's app menu. If a deal is not showing, that pub may not be running it.
Common problems
Wrong pub selected
The app remembers your last pub, so it is easy to order to the pub you visited last week. Before paying, check the pub name at the top of the screen matches the pub you are sitting in. If you have already paid at the wrong pub, speak to staff straight away.
Table number problems
Orders go to the table number you entered, so a typo means your food goes to someone else's table. The number is printed on the table itself; if you have moved tables, tell staff rather than entering the old number again.
Payment declined
Check the card details, then whether your banking app is asking you to approve the payment — many declines are just an unfinished approval. If it still fails, try a different card or digital payment method, or order at the bar.
Questions
Is the Wetherspoon app free to download?
Yes. The official app is free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. You only pay for the food and drink you order.
Do I have to use the app to order at Wetherspoon?
No. The app is optional — you can always order and pay at the bar instead. The app simply lets you order from your table without queueing.
Can I pay with cash in the app?
No. In-app orders are paid by card or digital payment — the App Store listing names card, Apple Pay, Payit and PayPal. Cash is for orders at the bar.
Why do prices in the app differ from the prices on this guide?
Because Wetherspoon prices vary by pub. The app shows the live prices of the one pub you have selected; this guide publishes typical or ‘from’ prices. If the two differ, the app figure for your pub is the one you will pay.
